Based upon an audio-visual correspondence, Lugar común is an expression of an activity unfolding in time, building bridges between here and there, now and then, one and other. Santiago de Chile and Berlin become, in the exchange of gazes, sounds, images and texts, the poles of a place common only in subjectivity, in the exercise of being a foreigner as existential stance, tensed between the need of distance and the desire of belonging.
